METEC’s 2011 Homeowners Fair 2011 Offers a Wide Array of
Home Buying Information and Assistance

March 4, 2011 — (Peoria, IL) — METEC’s hosts its 2011 Homeowners Fair on March 12 from 9 am to 2 pm at PARC, located at 1913 Townline Road in Peoria. Featured at this year’s fair are: downpayment assistance for first-time borrowers purchasing their first home, information about reverse mortgages, and immediate assistance to help struggling homeowners prevent foreclosure through Governor Pat Quinn’s Mortgage Relief Project.

Peoria, IL — January 16, 2011 — METEC’s New Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Center Offers Free Tax Help Beginning Tuesday January 18, 2011 METEC Housing Counseling Resource Center, PNC Bank, and Heartland Bank, will begin offering free tax preparation assistance for families with household incomes of less than $49,000 on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. . .

Peoria IL — January 6, 2011 — METEC Partners with eHome America, the Premier, Online Home Ownership Education Program. METEC, a local HUD-approved, non-profit housing counseling agency with expertise in financial education, homeownership, and community outreach, is announcing that it has partnered with eHome America to offer online homebuyer education to residents of Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford, Stark, Fulton, and Knox counties. Residents who complete this training have taken the first step toward qualifying for down-payment assistance, available through state and federal programs, and administered through METEC.
