Programs & Services

Parent and Youth Outreach program provides families who live in public housing and surrounding neighborhoods with basic life skills for succeeding in life. More than 30 individuals each week receive clothing; participate in parenting life skils, or the Kafe for Kids nutrition program.

Homeownership Orientation: Get prequalified for buying a home. Receive a free copy of your credit report and learn which houses you can afford. Find out what's involved in purchasing a home and the down payment assistance programs available for first time homebuyers.

Credit And Budget Counseling: The more you know about credit and money management, the better position you will be in to take advantage of the benefits of good credit. Our credit counselors will work with you to reduce your monthly debt and repair credit if needed.

Pre-Purchase/Homeownership: Teaches first time homebuyers the steps in the homebuying process:

• How to maintain your new home

Post-Purchase Counseling: Buying a home is one of the largest investments most people will ever make. To support and educate new homeowners METEC sponsors free classes about successful homeownership.

• How to adjust your monthly budget
• How to protect your investment
• How to avoid predatory lending.

EAH Employer Assisted Housing: METEC is authorized to implement EAH funds for this HUD program.
